THE GOLDEN ARROW PRAYER

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible, and ineffable Name of God be for ever praised, blessed, adored, loved, and glorified, in heaven, on earth, and in the hells, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.
The version chosen incorporates the exact wording of the Manual version (“ineffable”, “for ever”), except for the inclusion of “in the hells” (The Manual states, “in hell”), which differs from Sr Marie’s own words in the Golden Arrow book.
The Golden Arrow prayer is the prayer most associated with the Holy Face Devotion. It was given to Sister Marie of St. Peter by Jesus Himself.

ALTERNATIVE VERSIONS
There are a number of slight variations of the Golden Arrow. Below is an alternative version which is commonly used. Please note the substitution of the words “in the hells” for the words “under the earth”. Some variations include the words, “be always praised” and “unutterable name”.
It is more our desire to make reparation than the precise wording of the prayers that matters.
Father Carney, who wrote Secret of the Holy Face, states that he prefers to use the version “in the hells”, as this was the original wording,
