HOW TO PRAY THE CHAPLET OF THE HOLY FACE
THE 14 STEPS TO PRAYING THE CHAPLET
STEP 1
O God, incline unto my aid; O Lord make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 2
My Jesus Mercy. In honour of the sense of TOUCH of Jesus. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 3
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X6)
STEP 4
My Jesus Mercy. In honour of the sense of HEARING of Jesus. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 5
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X6)
STEP 6
My Jesus Mercy. In honour of the sense of SIGHT of Jesus. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 7
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X6)
STEP 8
My Jesus Mercy. In honour of the sense of SMELL of Jesus. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 9
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X6)
STEP 10
My Jesus Mercy. In honour of the sense of TASTE of Jesus. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 11
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X6)
STEP 12
My Jesus Mercy. Let us recall to mind the public life of the Saviour and let us honour all the wounds of His adorable Face. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
STEP 13
Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (X3)
STEP 14
On the Holy Face Medal pray: God, our Protector, look on us, and cast Thy eyes upon the Face of Thy Christ. Amen. On the Crucifix make the sign of the Cross.
The Five Additional Prayers from Jesus:
1) May God arise and let His enemies be scattered and let those who hate Him flee before His Face!
2) May the thrice Holy Name of God overthrow all their plans!
3) May the Holy Name of the Living God split them up by disagreements!
4) May the terrible Name of the God of Eternity stamp out all their godlessness!
5) Lord, I do not desire the death of the sinner, but that he be converted and live. “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Additional Prayers:
Eternal Father, I offer You the cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ and all the other instruments of His Holy Passion, that You may put division in the camp of Your enemies; for as Your Beloved Son has said, “A kingdom divided against itself shall fall.”
The Golden Arrow Prayer:
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God be for ever praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and in the hells, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.
THE CHAPLET OF THE HOLY FACE
The Holy Face Chaplet beads consist of 33 beads. 5 sets of 6 beads each to make reparation for the sins of blasphemy against Our Lord’s Holy Face through His five senses. The last three beads are said in honour of our Lord’s public life and to honour the wounds to His adorable Face.
The Chaplet of the Holy Face is also known as The Chaplet of Reparation and contains prayers composed by Sister Marie of St. Peter after Jesus asked her to battle in prayer against the “enemies of God”, especially the communists.
The Holy Face Chaplet is the most efficacious tool of spiritual warfare to defeat Communism which has infiltrated almost every aspect of our modern culture, in education, politics and even the church. The “grandmother” of all modern man’s ideologies is modernism. Pope Saint Pius X referred to modernism as “the synthesis of all heresies.” Father Carney states “Indeed, one may argue that the Church is to Christ as Communism is to the antichrist.” Venerable Fulton Sheen calls communism “the scavenger of decaying civilizations”.
